DRILL, BABY, DRIP: ENERGY DOMINANCE IS BACK ON THE MENU

You can tell a lot about a government by whether it treats energy as a moral failing or a meal. This one treats it as a meal. Pumpjacks on the prairie. A billion-dollar steel overhaul in Middletown. An emergency order on the bulk-power system so the lights do not depend on a foreign firmware update.

The last crowd wanted you to feel guilty for a truck. This crowd wants the truck built here, fueled here, and driven by a guy who can afford the diesel. That is not climate denial. That is a country that still has winters, factories, and a military that does not run on a keynote.

Watch the language. When production rises they call it a giveaway. When prices ease they call it luck. When a refinery stays open they call it a setback. Setback for whom? For the donor who needed the scarcity. Not for the family filling a tank on a Friday.

Bean Counting will keep the ledger. Jobs. Capacity. Who we buy from. Who we do not. If your model of virtue requires American workers to be cold, we will not be using that model. We will be using the one where the diner stays open after dark because the power stayed on.
